About the Course
To achieve your Qualified Security Professional (QSP) accreditation, you will undertake 12 Units of study, comprising 9 Core Units (compulsory) and 3 Elective Units.
Each Unit consists of two Modules:
- Module 1: E-Learning
- Module 2: Online Assessment
You will have 6 months to complete the entire course of 12 Units; each unit will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
Pattern of study:
Module 1 typically takes around 90-120 minutes to complete. This e-Learning unit comprises video presentations from the chief instructor, on-screen narrated slides, downloadable and printable information, inter-active or animated
slides, and videos from external sources.
Inserted between sections along the way are “Knowledge Checks”, which are simple quizzes, with ‘true or false” questions, based on the prior sections of the training. You will need to achieve 70% or more in the ‘Knowledge Checks’ to proceed through
the eLearning.
Module 2 is the online assessment. This is a 10-question multiple-choice test, covering the subject matter from the e-Learning. You will have 30 minutes to complete the assessment. The Online Assessment requires a 70% pass mark (7/10).
One repeat attempt possible.
On successful completion of the 12 Units, you will be eligible for a Highfield Level 2 accreditation as a Qualified Security Professional (QSP).
Disclaimer: The Highfield level II Qualified Security Professional (QSP) course was developed to provide students with a fully automated version of the Highfield level IV Qualified Security Manager (QSM) course (also created by Saladin and Prosectra). Both courses utilise the same eLearning modules which include reference to ‘QSM’ and ‘Qualified Security Manager’. These terms should be considered interchangeable with ‘QSP’ and ‘Qualified Security Professional’ during the eLearning, while the level of accreditation will reflect which course you’ve undertaken.
